Network Engineer I

GURU, Inc. is a dynamic IT consulting firm that provides infrastructure consulting and support services to small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Washington, DC area.  Due to continued growth and expansion, we are actively seeking Network Engineers who have at least 3 years of Network Administration experience.  This position is primarily responsible for the maintenance and implementation of servers and network systems at assigned clients.

Primary Responsibilities:
* Maintains, analyzes and troubleshoots network and desktop systems.
* Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help design and install network environments.
* Fulfills client contractual obligations; considers such factors as maintaining, analyzing and troubleshooting network and desktop systems, putting in additional hours and performing special projects.
* Implements and maintains backup-systems.
* Assists in building and deploying servers.
* Becomes knowledgeable with the company’s products and service offerings in order to make recommendations on existing services or for additional services provided by GURU.

Requirements:
* Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a Network Administrator
* Minimum of 1 year proven experience of hands-on Windows 2000 or 2003 Server experience involving ground-up network implementation and deployment
* Ability to maintain high levels of superior customer interaction and team work with peers and group members
* Self-motivated, proactive, dependable team player
* Solid communication (both written and verbal) skills with a strong attention to detail
* Consulting experience in the private commercial environment a plus!
* MCSE certification and/or college degree preferred, but can be substituted for comparable work experience
* Reliable transportation in order to travel to client assignments in the Washington DC metro area

Senior Network Engineer

SUMMARY:
Manages all aspects of client networks and relationships.  Uses experience in past performance to develop solutions for customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Develops, implements and maintains all systems, applications, security and network configurations. Troubleshoots network performance issues. (35%)
• Recognizes and capitalizes on opportunities for additional GURU services.  Makes recommendations on existing services or for additional services provided by GURU. (20%)
• May lead and direct others. (15%)
• Plans, executes and successfully completes high quality projects. (10%)
• Develops and implements disaster recovery plans. (10%)
• Provides technical support and guidance to users. (10%)

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS:
MCSE, CCEA, CCNP, CCDP

• 7 years SMB consulting
• 7 years Network Engineer

Business Development Executive

GURU, Inc. is a dynamic IT consulting firm that provides infrastructure consulting and support services to small and mid-sized businesses throughout the Washington, DC area. We are actively seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive (BDE) with a minimum of five years successfully selling computer related services in a competitive market. The BDE is responsible for identifying, qualifying, developing and closing new sales opportunities on a consistent basis.

Primary Responsibilities:

• romotes and sells GURU's IT services, including project work, high-level IT consulting and network, server and desktop support.
• Develops and manages relationships with new and existing customers.
• Develops a pipeline of qualified opportunities through business networking, strategic partner development, outbound telephone calls, direct marketing and company generated sales leads.
• Closes opportunities for new business while ensuring customer satisfaction in existing engagements.
• Meets montly and annual quota objectives.
• Reports directly to the Director of Business Development
• Understands clients' business environment, key business drivers, and changing business trends.

Requirements:

• 5 years experience selling to senior executives in small to mid-sized firms
• Experience selling IT services (managed IT services, network integration, systems integration, subscription software services, IT management and support)
• Recent experience successfully closing solution-based business.
• Sales experience/ familiarity with Microsoft, Cisco and Citrix technologies highly preferred.
• Highly motivated individual with outstanding interpersonal/presentation skills.
• College degree preferred, but can be substituted for comparable work experience.
