In addition to providing IT consulting guidance directly to our clients, the individual will be responsible for project deployment and implementation. This is a highly technical position which may require the creation of detailed project plans and the ability to implement projects in an efficient and timely manner. Organizational skills are a must as is attention to detail to cover all aspects of the project plan and implementation. Technical documentation and customer service skills are also needed as there will be significant direct client interaction and a need to update internal documentation accordingly. This position requires a highly driven and self-motivated individual with a passion to provide exceptional service and a willingness to consistently go above and beyond in all areas of service and support. Creativity is also needed as the projects require out of the box thinking. Teamwork, efficiency, and accountability is a must.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or an additional 2 years of experience can substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 8 years of Network Operations and Engineering experience with an in-depth knowledge of Network Design/Troubleshooting/Engineering principals and methodologies
  • 5+ years of SMB Network Consulting
  • Certification: Current Microsoft\Cisco certifications
  • Working experience supporting SonicWALL and WatchGuard appliances
  • Basic working experience with Cisco switch’s and ASA’s
  • Working experience with SAN’s
  • Skilled experience with Office 365 environments and implementations
  • Skilled experience with virtualization and cloud platforms
  • Skilled experience with Windows server systems
  • Skilled experience writing, planning, documenting and executing projects
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in (Layer2) switching, VLAN’s, and trunking technologies
  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and metric based reporting
  • Experience with troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark or similar
  • Ability to install routers/switches/UPS batteries in IT closets and/or data centers
